Inspire – High potential and gifted education
Some students learn faster and more easily than others. These students may shine in creativity, thinking, leadership or sport.
At our school, we recognise and nurture these strengths early. We support advanced learners with great lessons and activities to help them grow and thrive.

Community of Schools Public Speaking Competition
At Warilla Public School, we are proud to be part of The Village Community of Schools partnership, working closely with our four local primary schools—Shellharbour, Barrack Heights, Shell Cove, and Flinders. One of the highlights of this collaboration is our exciting Public Speaking Competition, an amazing opportunity for students to shine and showcase their public speaking talents in a supportive and friendly environment.
This competition not only nurtures confidence, creativity, and communication skills but also strengthens the sense of community among our schools. Students engage in friendly competition, share their unique voices, and inspire each other to excel.
We’re excited to see our young speakers take the stage, develop their skills, and grow as confident communicators ready to lead in the future.
The Premier’s Sporting Challenge
To promote increased participation in sport and physical activity, leading to healthier, more active lifestyles, the Premier's Sporting Challenge (PSC) is a multi-faceted program offering a range of initiatives to Department of Education students and teachers across the state.
The PSC aims to get more students and staff more active, more often.

At Warilla Public School, our students from various year levels come together to participate in this unforgettable experience, showcasing their creativity, passion, and teamwork on a grand stage. The Southern Stars event not only highlights artistic excellence but also fosters confidence and community spirit among our young performers.

This festival showcases choral groups from public schools between Figtree and Gerringong. With over 1000 students participating in the festival each year, the festival prides itself on being an inclusive, fun event for students from each of our schools.
Schools work together to perform 9 incredible massed choir items each year adding bright props and funky moves to many of our items. Each school performs 2 individual items selected by their school choir teachers to 'wow' the audience.
