Join Us for Our Fortnightly School Assemblies!
Our school assemblies are a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talents and achievements. Each class is rostered on throughout the year to present a special assembly item, and parents will be notified in advance so they can come along and support their children.
Assemblies are held every fortnight on Mondays, starting at 2:10 pm from Term 2 onwards. We warmly welcome all parents and carers to join us and celebrate our students' successes together.
Additionally, if your child is receiving a special award, you will be notified via a School Bytes email to make sure you don’t miss this proud moment.
We look forward to seeing you at our next assembly!
Book Week
Book Week is a significant annual event celebrated across Australia, highlighting the importance of reading for children.
At Warilla Public School we participate in a variety of activities and events to inspire young readers and promote literacy through engaging activities and community participation, culminating in our annual Book Week parade.
School activities are designed to foster a love of reading in our students and provide them with opportunities to engage with the full range of rich literature nominated by the Australian Children’s Book Council every year.
NAIDOC Week
At Warilla Public School, we are proud to demonstrate our strong commitment to Aboriginal education and cultural respect every year through our active participation in NAIDOC Week. This important celebration honours the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and we embrace the opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage with these rich traditions.
Fundraising
At Warilla Public School, our fundraising events play a vital role in bringing our school community together while raising valuable funds to enhance student experiences. From the vibrant Summer Fiesta school fair to our exciting Colour Run—which raised over $25,000 to fund brand new playground equipment—our events are filled with fun, community spirit, and teamwork.
